A Slow-Living Homestay

The Kangra Valley,
unhurried

“A 90-year-old Gaddi family home on a ridge above Dharamshala. Three rooms, a clay-tiled kitchen, and a view of the Dhauladhar that swallows the horizon at sunrise.”

Three Generations
of Himalayan Hosting

“My grandmother built this house from pine felled on the ridge behind us. We have hosted trekkers, botanists, and quiet readers ever since.”

In 2019, we opened three rooms to guests — restored with lime plaster, salvaged cedar, and the same Kangra-miniature motifs that decorate the old palace temples.

We do not run a hotel. We share a home. Meals come from the kitchen garden, water from the spring, and the silence you came here for.

From the Host

“We are not trying to make a hotel. We are trying to keep a Himalayan home alive — the sound of the kitchen at dawn, the cuckoo in the deodar, the long evening by the kangri. Stay a while. Walk slowly. Let the valley show you what it knows.”
